At Learning Ladders, we highlight the importance of the times tables in each lesson. Our aim is for children to become fluent with the times tables. 
 
By doing so, children can then quickly recall multiplication facts with confidence. This knowledge can then be applied to a range of arithmetic and reasoning questions. 
 
Therefore, it does not come as a surprise that on average 37/80 of previous SAT questions required children to be fluent with the multiplication tables.
